Master Student Programme

A higher education can, in addition to giving a young poor individual a hope of a better and brighter future through a good and well-paying job, give the whole family a better living standards and pave the way for economic progress. Thereby it can provide the economic framework for the whole society which then means a potential uplifting of a whole nation.

In many countries the possibility of a higher education is far from a matter of course. Young students who possess the intellect, the will and the wish to progress into have advanced education often have to abandon the hope because the family cannot afford it. This often means that the youngster needs to join the unskilled labour force in order to provide the family budget with an extra income.

DM-Aid has, in light of the above mentioned, chosen to start a specific program which seeks to support young poor students with economic aid in order for them to be able to pursue higher education. We are calling the programme: “Master Student Programme”.

The programme has been launched in four of our partnership countries: Palestine (one student), Iraq (two students), Morocco (one student) and Pakistan (one student). We hope to expand our program to include more countries in the near future.

The programme, in simple terms, is about finding suitable young poor candidates whom are selected by our local partners and provide them with economic aid so that they can realize their wish to accomplish a university degree on a Bachelor- or Masters- level.

Read about Abdul Qadeer in Pakistan and Essafi Fatima Zahra in Morocco who receive aid through the Danish Muslim Aid’s Master Student Programme:

Abdul Qadeer, studies economy and marketing in Peshawar, Pakistan.

I am at 2nd semester and in this semester we have five subjects Calculus, English, Basic Marketing, Business Communication and Basic Accounting. Daily I take 3-hours classes."

Fatima Zahra Essafi, studies multimedia design in Casablanca, Marokko.

My name is Fatima Zahra Essafi. I'm Moroccan and I am 23 years old.

I've got my undergraduate in economy and management in 2006, at the age of 21 years. At the present time, I'm studying multimedia design in a private school in Casablanca, called "IHB, ART MEDIA". Multimedia design is the study of all kind of media with computer software, including audio visual, animation, website, 3D animation, visual effect, and so on."
How can you help?
A university degree can be expensive, coupled with the cost of educational material, housing and basic living expenses it can run up to thousands of Danish crowns a year. In most of the abovementioned countries the costs will be around 10-12.000 Danish Crowns a year per student. We have therefore developed a concept where a multiple of sponsors can support the same student.  You can, through a monthly fee of 200, 400, 600, 800 or 1.000 Danish crowns help give a young poor student a future!

Students that are currently supported though DM-Aid’s Master Program (more profiles will come soon):
