Danish Muslim Aid was established in 2005. Our purpose is to supply relief
aid and resources for those who are in need of such, regardless of any ethnic,
religious or political background. We also strive to ensure an increased public
awareness of their plight.
Danish Muslim Aid is an independent,
non-governmental organisation, impelled by our own agenda. We carry out our
efforts both independently and in close cooperation with other relief
agencies.
Danish Muslim Aid seeks to focus relief efforts in the
following areas:
- Facilitate sponsorships of orphaned children in many
developing countries
- Dispatching new and used hospital- and school
equipment where needed
- Dispatching relief aid to disastrous areas
- School- and water projects
- Micro-financing projects
Our
mission statement:
- To supply development- and relief aid to
poorer areas of the world as prescribed by basic Islamic principles pertaining
to charity and kindness toward humanity
- To carry out endeavours for the
general betterment of health and accountability, both locally and globally
- To attempt an increased understanding, cooperation, and co-existence across
various groups of peoples, regardless of gender, race or religious
affiliation
- To empower the marginalised and poor groupings of society and
provide them with a voice
- To partner with other organisations and agencies
and civic groups, in order to widen the scope and impact of our work
